Andrew Keen

General Manager

Andrew Keen is General Manager at Highgate House, having joined from a nearby conference centre in April 2007.  Andrew’s career has seen him take on a number of hospitality industry roles including Food & Beverage Manager the NEC Arena, organising a large team preparing the venue for arrival of many events.   Originally, he was a bar man but worked his way through the restaurant to the kitchen and head chef; his first job on graduation was running a hotel in the French Alps!

Andrew is passionate about environmental issues.  He is, as he says himself, ‘Keen on Green’, and that is the name of the programme he has introduced across Highgate House.

Outside of work he is husband to Hayley and proud (to say the least) father to Charlie.  Andrew supports Manchester United but since he lives in Nottingham he will happily watch Forest or County.  He is also eager to teach his son the joys of golf, in an effort to get back onto the course himself.
