News: Sundial Sponsors Charity Golf Day
13 Jul 2009
On 13th July a Charity Golf Day was held at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, to fundraise for Edward's Trust. Sundial Group put forward a team of employees from across the venues to take part in the golf match, as well as making a donation towards the event.
Edward's Trust is an organisation, founded by Peter and Hillary Dent in 1989 in memory of their son Edward, who died of cancer when he was 7 years old. Today the charity focuses on providing support for anyone affected by the death of a child; they work with bereaved children and provide complementary therapies for parents and carers.
Of course, Sundial was keen to become involved in such a worthy cause and is pleased to announce that the Charity Golf Day raised over £4000 for Edward's Trust. We received a personal note of thanks from Richard Page, a Sundial client, who is involved in the charity. He said "The work of Edward's Trust relies almost entirely on voluntary donations and money raised at events such as this. Without this help we would be unable to continue to support families during the most difficult time of their lives."
