News: Sundial Group Venues Named Best Venue Group Meeting Product 2011

Sundial Group Venues have been named ‘Best Venue Group Meeting Product' for a third year at recent Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards. The prestigious award, decided by meeting planner votes, was announced on the same night that Sundial Group collected their several BDRC Continental VenueVerdict awards.
Family-owned and run Sundial Group was named ‘Best Venue Group Meeting Product', beating off stiff competition from the likes of Hilton Hotels, Marriott Hotels International and Barceló Hotels & Resorts at this year's Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards. The M&IT winners were announced on Monday 28th February at the Park Plaza where more than 1,900 organisations were nominated, with over 8,300 votes cast.
The M&IT Awards are the oldest established awards programme in the meetings industry. These awards recognise and reward excellence, and are the result of voting by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine - with votes audited and verified by the independent Audit Bureau of Circulations.
The ceremony was also an opportunity for Sundial Group to collect their 2010 BDRC Continental VenueVerdict Awards, in which Sundial's Northamptonshire venue, Highgate House, was awarded national ‘Number One Venue'. Further to this, BDRC Continental named Sundial Group Venues best ‘Value for Money', meaning the group have now held this top spot since 2008. In addition, each of Sundial Group's Midlands Venues, Highgate House in Northamptonshire and Woodside in Warwickshire achieved the prestigious ‘Gold Standard Venue' title. All in all it was a highly successful ceremony for hospitality specialists Sundial Group.
