25 Jun 2009
Sundial Group's Highgate House in Northamptonshire has been shortlisted for the East Midlands Business Tourism Award. The 2009 short listing is a further achievement for the venue's already impressive repertoire of awards, including achieving Gold in the same award in 2007.
Highgate House is a striking mansion in the picturesque village of Creaton, built in traditional Northamptonshire sandstone. The venue sits in acres of beautiful grounds nestled within rolling countryside with easy links to the M1, M6, M40 and A14. Highgate House's idyllic location ensures privacy, intimacy and security for any event.
The multiple award-winning venue currently holds the UK top spot for ‘Value for Money', as found by independent benchmarking research company BDRC, in their latest ‘VenueVerdict' table. Highgate House has also recently achieved the title of number one hotel in Northampton, as rated by customer reviews published on TripAdvisor. In addition to this, Highgate House participates in the Visit Britain Quality in Tourism Scheme, holding a four star rating for Guest Accommodation, as well as being the only venue in the county to hold both the ‘Cyclist Welcome' and ‘Walkers Welcome' accreditations.
Paul Williams, Cluster Manager at Highgate House commented, "We are thrilled and honoured to have been shortlisted for the East Midlands Tourism Awards and it gives me great pride to be able to thank to the whole team here at Highgate House. It is clear that the industry has recognised our ability to provide a fantastic service to all of our customers and we have our fingers crossed for the number one position."
