Welcome to Sundial Group (Part 1)
Sundial is a forward-looking organisation, continuing to innovate and develop its service to suit the 21st century. However, it is also very proud of its heritage, and to understand fully what the Sundial brand is, it's important to appreciate the very special story of how it came to be.
Sundial Group comprises four limited companies, operating beautiful meetings venues across the United Kingdom and employing over 250 people. Head Office is Highgate House in Northamptonshire.
Keeping it in the family
The company is wholly owned by the eight children of Michael and Diana Chudley, who began the business at Highgate House back in 1964. Four of the children are on the board of directors – (left to right) Tim is Managing Director, sisters Jo and Lucy are Marketing Director and Human Resources Director respectively, and brother Robin is the Non-Executive Director.
They are joined by Operations Director, Jerry Toth, Sales Director, Mark Cooper and Finance Director, Brian Howes (all pictured to the right).
Retaining ownership and control, somewhat uniquely among the larger players in the industry, ensures that across our venues we maintain the exceptional standards demanded by the family, and continue to treat customers as family guests. The golden rule of 'treat people as you would wish to be treated' lives on in all our venues.
