Now in its 4th year, Sundial Group is proud to present the Learning & Development Thought Leaders’ Conference 2019.

The event will appeal to professionals in L&D and Talent Management, bringing together industry experts for an educational day of interactive speaker sessions. 

Held at Highgate House, Northamptonshire, on Friday 14th June, the conference will provide the opportunity to network with like-minded specialists in the L&D field. There will also be a speaker panel to conclude the day.

Keynote session: 'It’s not the cards you are dealt with in life, but the way that you play them' - David Thomas, Finding the Difference

We all have significant challenges as we go through life. How we deal with them ultimately determines our success. David shares his past of how he went from a terribly abusive childhood to becoming one of the most successful people in his area of expertise. As one of the world’s leading experts on memory and learning, David will also share strategies on how we can enhance getting our message across in the workplace.

'Driving Succesful Change, a Case Study' - David Cooper, FFP Packaging

David shares his successful change management story within his UK manufacturing business. 

This session will cover:

  • How did we inspire change in others?
  • How did we prioritise what needed changing?
  • What environment was necessary to foster change?
  • What challenges have we faced with change?
  • What have been some of the unintended consequences of change?
  • What would we have done differently?
  • What are the results?
     

'The Hero’s Journey – A Blue Print for People Change' - Tim Grice, Purple Tiger UK

In this interactive workshop attendees should expect to be involved as Tim reveals approaches that allow you to move from purely rational communications, to creating stronger emotional connections with the desired new state. Using clips from some of the world’s favourite movies he will demonstrate how storytelling can be used to engage people into driving change. It covers:

  • Using emotional connections rather than relying only on rational thinking
  • How to tap into discretionary effort of others

Times and How to Register

The conference will take place on Friday 14th June, with registration and breakfast starting from 7.30am. The event will start at 8.30am and finish at 4pm.
