Directions to Highgate House

Highgate House Location MapWe are happy to provide ample free parking facilities to our guests, however we encourage you to consider the environment when making your travel plans.  Below you will find extensive details and links regarding rail connections – please consider whether you and your colleagues could take the train and then share a taxi.  Subject to authorisation from your meeting organiser we can arrange taxis to be charged to the company account mean you won’t need to pay cash, retain receipts and claim expenses for that part of your journey.

If arriving as part of a conference group why not car-share?  In fact, ask your meeting organiser to consider switching to our Greener Meeting Package at no additional cost.  One of the elements of this is that we will provide an incentive to all delegates who car-share or use public transport of £5.00 credit to spend in our bar.  (Full details of this package can be found in our ‘Rates’ section)

From the M1 (travelling Southbound)

  • Leave at Junction 19 (Catthorpe Interchange), go straight over the roundabout and join the A14.
  • Leave the A14 at Junction 1, signed for Welford and the A5199.

Getting Here By Bicycle

CyclingGuests arriving by bicycle are more than welcome to store their bikes in our padlocked shed and they may use the changing rooms around our leisure facilities to freshen up if they are not residential guests.  If you are arriving for a residential course by bicycle, please do advise us two or three days in advance as we will give you priority when allocating bedrooms and do our best to ensure you are given a bedroom that was unoccupied the night before.  (However, owing to our check-out time of 9am, and the time it takes us to service a bedroom, it isn't always possible to do this when we are very busy)

Creaton is part of the Brampton Valley Way, fourteen miles of traffic-free cycleway (with on-road sections) that connect Market Harborough and Northampton.  It is National Route Number 6.
