Outdoor Space at Woodside
Woodside has a selection of open outdoor spaces ideal for all sorts of outdoor activities within its 32 acres of gardens and grounds. In addition to our Teamscapes outdoor team building activities, there are a number of grassy areas in which events such as family fun days, team activity days and corporate away days can take place.
Instead of a buffet lunch in The Orchard Restaurant, we can provide catering exclusive to your group. We can provide Packed Lunches, Soft Drinks, Barbecues and Bottle Bars, but can be flexible enough to cater to your exact requirements.
Victoria Spinney is the first sight you see upon arriving at Woodside and is a plantation dating back to 1837, in celebration of Queen Victoria's coronation. Although very flat, the trees mean it is not suitable for high-energy activities but it is nonetheless a wonderful location where delegates can pass the time and maybe enjoy an al fresco meal.
Main Lawn and Football Field
The Main Lawn at Woodside, and the neighbouring 'Football Field' are immediately adjacent to the main house and surround the tennis court. Flat and beautifully maintained, they are perfect for a wide range of activities including (but not limited to) inflatables, team puzzles, human table football, 'It's a Knockout'-type activities and much, much more.
This also makes the perfect area for delicious summer barbecues. The section nearest the house has some areas shaded by the beautiful old trees and there is a patio with furniture that can also host giant games (Jenga, Connect 4 etc).
The Woodfield is over seven acres of grassland perfect particularly for motorised activities or other high adrenaline team building. It is also ideal for tests of skill, such as archery or laser-clay shooting.
